Wild West Arena Saloon

We checked out the Pechanga Casino in Temecula and got our free slot play.  No big winnings but it is a nice casino and has a very nice RV park with it.

Free line dance lessons at the Wild West Arena Saloon in Winchester, CA. every Thursday at 6:30.  What a place!  Dogs running in and out of the bar.  The place was packed.  And they really do have an arena.

Thurs – Mar 22
Golf at the Golden Era Productions course with Terry & Nadia James – our friends from Langley BC.  The property is owned by the church of Scientology and, according to their website, they film training videos and commercials for Scientology at the studios near the golf course.  The golf course is only open for special charity events including every Thursday for the residents of the Golden Village Palms RV Resort.  We pay $10 to play 9 holes; $5 extra if you want a cart.

Keep hearing commercials on the radio for what sounds like  Rŏb ō bank?  Really?  Found out it’s actually spelled Rabobank but why would you use the words rob and bank in the same phrase?

Wed – Mar 28
Lucy the dog left for home this morning.  Lucy is a Briard, owned by Don & Joyce from Colorado.  They were parked right across Ilex Street from us.  Lucy’s very friendly and she just makes you smile when you see her.  Note her big ears.  When they stand up the hair hangs down like bangs.

We used to come back from golf or shopping around 3 or 4 in the afternoon, turn down our street and have to dodge all the Happy Hour groups whose chairs had spread out into Ilex Street - but not anymore.  We had a lot of Canadians on our street and most of them have headed north.
We’ve been thinking about heading north again but it’s snowing there.  What’s up with that?
 Wed – Mar 29
Ron and Sandy Mountain are back here now.  Tim and Diane hosted a big happy hour(s) get together yesterday, for those of us who haven’t headed home yet.  It was a BYOB plus a salad to share.  We had at least 7 yummy salads plus lettuce wraps and other snacks.  Ron brought his gas fireplace for when the sun went down.  It was a lot of fun.
