Welcome to Jim and Joyce's travel blog. This blog is for our family and friends who want to follow along as we live our dream of traveling around the country in our Cougar fifth-wheel. Hope you enjoy reading about this as much as we are enjoying living it.

Leaving Gold Canyon

Sat - Mar 26
Gold Canyon RV Park threw and End of the Summer Fiesta here with entertainment by the pool, dinner and dancing.  There was a huge crowd.  Gary & Sandy staked out a spot for us with our chairs and tables and an umbrella for shade.

Here's our group by the blue umbrella.  Linda & Sandy with their feet in the pool

As the evening wound down, Jim decided he could take the chairs back on his bicycle.

This is our nearest Bank of America ATM.  Just a little box next to Highway 60.

Tues - Mar 29
Left Gold Canyon for Needles, CA.  Long drive for us but the weather was perfect and there were 2 sites left at the Needles Elks.  We got site #4.  Where else can you get full hookups (no TV, however) for $15 a night?  The bonus was that Tuesday is steak night so we had rib eye steak with all the trimmings for $8 apiece!  Life is good.  Almost makes up for having to pay $4.19 a gallon for diesel!!
